A world champion from El Bierzo

The vermouth Forzudo blanco has won the gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

Only four beverages in the country have been distinguished out of more than 1,000 participants.

Forzudo has just been proclaimed world champion once again. Three years after its older brother, the red Forzudo, was awarded a double gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the white Forzudo, made with reineta apples, has also won the gold medal.
Forzudo blanco has been awarded as one of the best vermouths in the world at the Brussels World Competition, the Spirit Selection; an annual contest in which more than 1,000 participants compete to be the best in their category. This year, only 4 drinks from the country – a red vermouth, a whisky and a brandy, in addition to Forzudo – have managed to attract the attention of the judges and win the distinction that accredits them as one of the best products in the world in their category.
This award comes just three years after its big brother, the red vermouth, won the double gold medal in the same competition. On that occasion, Forzudo managed to present itself as one of the best in the world in its category a few months after being launched on the market. Now it achieves it with its new creation, the white vermouth, whose base is the reineta apple, so typical of El Bierzo.

With this award, Forzudo has managed to put El Bierzo and its products back on the world map.

Vermouth Forzudo was launched in 2017 with a clear vocation: to become a reference for all palates, the protagonist of aperitifs and the undisputed king of the most select cocktails. Inspired by the old tradition, and sponsored by the oldest distillery in Spain, Forzudo has its origin in El Bierzo, where the base wine for its production is grown and produced and where the botanicals that give it a special flavor full of nuances grow.
A careful staging for a classic Vermouth with an air of modernity. A commitment to quality endorsed by the best experts.
