Vermouth Forzudo Sorbet of the Umami

During the presentation of the Vermouth Forzudo in Ponferrada, we had the privilege of being the first to try the “Vermouth Forzudo Sorbet” by Noel Gallego of the restaurant Umami in Ponferrada, which can already be tasted in this spectacular temple of flavors.
This restaurant one hundred percent from “El Bierzo”, run by Sofía Figueira y Noel, assumes as its own the universal and avant-garde character of contemporary gastronomy. It is a project designed with care and effort in which they have reflected the knowledge and experiences acquired in restaurants from País Vasco and El Bierzo,  where both will take care of delight your palate and turn any visit to the Umami into an unique experience. And we are sure of that, since in a very short time it has become a benchmark in the gastronomy from “León” and especially from “El Bierzo”.
According to Noel, he thought of it as a dessert, ideal for summer, refreshing and light. However, it does not seem unreasonable to take it as a cocktail. It is also very easy to prepare, the recipe would be:
  • 1 measure of Vermouth Forzudo
  • 1 measure of green tea
  • Ice and lime juice to taste
  • and to decorate a few pieces of dehydrated lime and a “fisali” on the edge of the glass.
